In Google’s latest privacy policy update, the company allowed the collection of publicly available data to train AI-powered products.<\/p>\n

In the policy version dated July 1, 2023<\/a>, the company said it would collect data to train AI models and to develop its products, such as Google Translate, Bard and Cloud AI.<\/p>\n

In the edition from December 15, 2022<\/a>, mentions of artificial intelligence were absent. Data were collected to improve language models.<\/p>\n

Earlier, OpenAI, the developer of the ChatGPT chatbot, filed<\/a> a lawsuit over the theft of personal data. Plaintiffs allege that the firm violated privacy laws by collecting information through applications integrated with ChatGPT.<\/p>\n

In June in the United States <\/strong>urged<\/a> OpenAI and Twitter to label AI-generated content.<\/p>\n
