The Florida Office of Financial Regulation (OFR) has accused the cryptocurrency exchange Bittrex of violating state laws, filing a complaint against it prior to bankruptcy.<\/p>\n
According to \u0441\u0443\u0434\u0435\u0431\u043d\u044b\u043c \u0434\u043e\u043a\u0443\u043c\u0435\u043d\u0442\u0430\u043c<\/a>, the platform commingled customer assets with operating capital and did not fulfill its obligations in full.<\/p>\n \n\u201cThe decision as to which of these violations to bring in our administrative complaint lies entirely within the regulator’s purview,\u201d said the regulator’s assistant general counsel.<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n From October 2022 through March 2023, the OFR, in cooperation with agencies from other states, investigated the company’s activities.<\/p>\n On April 17, the Florida OFR sent a complaint to the exchange<\/a>.
