{"id":81667,"date":"2023-07-13T16:50:51","date_gmt":"2023-07-13T13:50:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=81667"},"modified":"2025-09-12T00:21:01","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T21:21:01","slug":"starknet-developers-roll-out-quantum-leap-upgrade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/starknet-developers-roll-out-quantum-leap-upgrade\/","title":{"rendered":"Starknet developers roll out Quantum Leap upgrade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Starknet team behind<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-layer%e2%80%912-solution-in-blockchain\"> L2<\/a>-project launched the Quantum Leap upgrade, aimed at increasing the system&#8217;s throughput, as<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblock.co\/post\/239112\/starknet-quantum-leap-upgrade\"> The Block<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n<p>During<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/starknet-upgrade-to-boost-network-throughput-tenfold\"> testing in Goerli<\/a> the developers demonstrated a stable result of 37 <span data-descr=\"transactions per second\" class=\"old_tooltip\">TPS<\/span> with occasional spikes to 90 TPS, compared with the current 10 TPS.<\/p>\n<p>At its peak, the metric reached three-digit levels. The team expects to reach this level by the third quarter.<\/p>\n<p>Another improvement from Quantum Leap reduced latency to 10 seconds under standard conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The StarkWare, which oversees the project, expects the improvements to help scale Ethereum applications in areas such as DeFi and gaming.<\/p>\n<p>This year, version 13 of the platform is also expected, which is expected to reduce transaction costs.<\/p>\n<p>In a subsequent update, users will be able to pay for high-priority transactions.
