That was <a href=\"https:\/\/bc-cb.rcmp-grc.gc.ca\/ViewPage.action?siteNodeId=2122&#038;languageId=1&#038;contentId=80507\">stated<\/a> by representatives of the Richmond RCMP.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities suspect that the perpetrators are aware of the victims&#8217; substantial holdings in digital assets and of their place of residence. Over the past year, RCMP officers in Richmond and Delta (British Columbia) have recorded several incidents.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cIn each case, the suspects gain access to the home by posing as couriers or government officials. Once inside, they steal information from victims that provides access to their cryptocurrency accounts,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Investigators have not yet linked the robberies to one another and have not disclosed case details.
