The Dutch Central Bank (DNB) has approved Crypto.com’s registration as a cryptocurrency services provider.<\/p>\n

\u201cCooperation with regulators to responsibly promote the crypto- and blockchain industry is of paramount importance for Crypto.com. This approval from the DNB is an important milestone for our business and a testament to our commitment to compliance,\u201d said the platform\u2019s CEO Kris Marshalek.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

According to the DNB’s public register, at the time of writing 36 companies related to digital assets have registered. Among them are eToro, Bitstamp and Coinbase Europe.<\/p>\n

In June 2023, the Bank of Spain registered<\/a> Crypto.com as a virtual asset service provider (VASP).<\/p>\n

Earlier the platform obtained<\/a> permission to operate with crypto assets in the United Kingdom. In the same month itacquired<\/a> a payment services provider PnLink and a provider of digital assets OK-BIT with the corresponding licenses from South Korean regulators.<\/p>\n

In late 2022, the DNB warned<\/a> consumers that the cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin was providing services in the country without the necessary registration.<\/p>\n

In the summer of 2023, Binance announced its exit from the Netherlands<\/a> because it could not obtain a VASP license from the local regulator.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
