Over the last 24 hours, the figure rose by 8.3%.<\/p>\n<p>Among the leading tokens tracked by the service in this category are BNB ($37.2 billion), Cardano ($10.2 billion), Solana ($9.3 billion) and TRON ($6.9 billion).<\/p>\n<p>In a comment to <a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/coingecko-adds-index-crypto-deemed-securities\">Cointelegraph<\/a>, a CoinGecko representative said the index was launched in the first week of August by assembling a selection of the most noticeable altcoins deemed securities by the SEC.<\/p>\n<p>In the latest court proceedings in lawsuits against <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/sec-files-suit-against-coinbase-exchange\">Coinbase<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/sec-files-suit-against-binance-and-changpeng-zhao\">Binance<\/a>, the regulator increased its list of such assets to 68 positions. The service included 48 tokens in the category at the time of writing.<\/p>\n<p>The ranking is closed by altcoins such as FTT <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/greed-and-recklessness-why-the-ftx-collapse-is-being-likened-to-the-2008-crisis\">the fallen exchange FTX<\/a> or the devalued EMAX project from EthereumMax, whose market capitalizations are unknown.<\/p>\n<p>In April, SEC Chair Gary Gensler <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/gary-gensler-cryptocurrencies-are-securities-the-law-leaves-no-room-for-alternative-readings\">stated<\/a> that, under the law, all cryptocurrencies are securities.
