{"id":83072,"date":"2023-08-15T14:09:53","date_gmt":"2023-08-15T11:09:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=83072"},"modified":"2025-09-12T08:50:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-12T05:50:11","slug":"compound-integrates-coinbases-base-l2-network","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/compound-integrates-coinbases-base-l2-network\/","title":{"rendered":"Compound integrates Coinbase\u2019s Base L2 network"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The DeFi lending platform Compound integrated <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-layer%e2%80%912-solution-in-blockchain\">an L2 solution<\/a> Base, supported by cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Compound-1.webp\" alt=\"Compound-1\" class=\"wp-image-213636\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Data: <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/compoundfinance\/status\/1691134310844424192\">X<\/a>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Users will now be able to use ETH and cbETH as collateral for borrowing the stablecoin USDC on the new network \u2014 Bridged USD Coin (USDbC).<\/p>\n<p>According to data <a href=\"https:\/\/app.compound.finance\/markets?market=usdbc-basemainnet\">Compound Labs<\/a>, the current total supply of the coin stands at $3.75 million, and the total loan size reaches $2.25 million. $2.59 million of the total collateral is held in ETH, another $1.17 million in Coinbase Wrapped Staked ETH (CBETH).<\/p>\n<p>Lenders can earn up to 1.24% per year, and borrowers can take loans at 2.83%.<\/p>\n<p>Plans to roll out SushiSwap V2&#8217;s second version on the Base network were <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jaredgrey\/status\/1691228764934418432?s=20\">said<\/a> by Jared Grey, head of the decentralised exchange.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblock.co\/data\/scaling-solutions\/optimistic-rollups\">The Block<\/a>, the number of daily transactions on the Base network is approaching the metrics of <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-are-rollups-and-how-do-they-scale-ethereum\">Optimistic Rollups<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"100%\" height=\"420\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/embed.theblockcrypto.com\/data\/scaling-solutions\/optimistic-rollups\/transaction-count-daily-7dma\/embed\" title=\"Transaction Count on Optimistic Rollups (Daily, 7DMA)\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The full launch of Base mainnet <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/coinbase-expands-access-to-base-l2-mainnet\">took place on August 9<\/a>.
