{"id":83147,"date":"2023-08-16T14:52:04","date_gmt":"2023-08-16T11:52:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=83147"},"modified":"2025-09-12T09:24:07","modified_gmt":"2025-09-12T06:24:07","slug":"two-uzbek-banks-granted-permission-to-issue-crypto-cards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/two-uzbek-banks-granted-permission-to-issue-crypto-cards\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Uzbek banks granted permission to issue crypto cards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-descr=\"National Agency for Prospective Projects\" class=\"old_tooltip\">\u041d\u0410\u041f\u041f<\/span> of Uzbekistan <a href=\"https:\/\/napp.uz\/ru\/news\/maxsus-rejim-ishtirokchisi-ro-yxatga-olindi\">approved<\/a> private Ravnaq Bank and Kapital Bank&#8217;s participation in the digital sandbox with the ability to issue cryptocurrency cards.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Ravnaq Bank pilot project envisages a virtual banking card that can be topped up with digital assets through automatic fiat conversion from a balance on the UzNEX crypto exchange.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The card will be supported by Mastercard.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A similar product will be issued by Kapital Bank.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A full rollout of the crypto cards for retail customers of both banks is planned by the end of December 2023.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As reported in <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/uzbekistan-registers-its-first-nft-issuer\">April 2023<\/a>, the first participant registered under the special regime for the circulation of crypto assets in Uzbekistan was Unified Integrator \u2013 UZINFOCOM. It will implement blockchain-based NFT certificates.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>During 2022, authorities enacted <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/rules-for-miners-and-a-step-toward-taxation-how-post-soviet-states-regulated-the-bitcoin-market-in-2022\">a set of laws<\/a> regulating the cryptocurrency market.
