The non-custodial exchange PancakeSwap added support<\/a> for the third version of the protocol on the Ethereum-based second-layer<\/a> Base, supported by Coinbase.<\/p>\n

Now the platform offers swap and liquidity-provision features, with farming coming soon.<\/p>\n

Users will be able to independently choose preferred pools with low slippage directly via the protocol or the exchange interface. Transaction fees range from 0.01% to 1%.<\/p>\n

Among Base’s advantages in PancakeSwap, ‘first-class’ security and scalability were highlighted. The exchange’s representatives also noted the ease of deploying financial applications thanks to Coinbase’s support.<\/p>\n

“By leveraging Base’s security measures and Ethereum compatibility, we offer users a reliable and cost-efficient trading experience. In addition, integration with the Coinbase ecosystem provides the opportunity for mass crypto adoption, which makes it a significant milestone on the path to a more inclusive DeFi environment,” the developers said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Together with the new protocol, PancakeSwap is now available on eight networks, including Ethereum, Aptos, Polygon zkEVM<\/a>, zkSync Era<\/a>, Arbitrum<\/a> and Linea<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On August 9, Coinbase opened<\/a> the Base mainnet for public access. Soon after, L2-solution support was integrated by platforms Velodrome<\/a>, Compound<\/a>, 1inch<\/a>, Uniswap<\/a> and Symbiosis Finance<\/a>.<\/p>\n

By the end of August, Base led in transaction counts over other Optimistic-based second-layer networks. The metric peaked at 889,000, but then began to gradually decline.<\/p>\n

In April, the launch took place<\/a> of PancakeSwap v3. In particular, the developers implemented the concentrated-liquidity concept.<\/p>\n
