If this desire arises on a Friday evening, you would have to wait until Monday, he added.<\/p>\n<p>Marcus&#8217;s Lightspark is trying to address this with LN. Marcus is convinced the solution will be well suited for cross-border transfers, whereas it may be used less frequently for everyday purchases.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;Bitcoin is not the currency people will use to buy things. Instead, digital gold will be used to send US dollars to someone who will ultimately receive them in Japanese yen or euros at the other end of the world&#8221;,<\/em> Marcus explained.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Since the start of 2023, several prominent industry players have announced initiatives to use the protocol.<\/p>\n<p>David Marcus&#8217;s Lightspark <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/david-marcuss-lightspark-launches-lightning-network-platform-for-businesses\">launched a platform<\/a> to connect businesses to LN.
