Over the past 24 hours, the asset added 1.7%, according to <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/\\\">CoinGecko<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, Bitcoin was hovering near $27,090. The asset <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/u-s-inflation-accelerates-bitcoin-retreats-on-modest-selling\">reacted<\/a> in a mildly negative way to the inflation data release, but quickly recovered.<\/p>\n<p>In August, Federal Reserve System Chairman Jerome Powell <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bitcoin-swings-on-fed-chairs-remarks\">confirmed<\/a> the central bank&#8217;s readiness to continue raising the policy rate if necessary, and Bitcoin reacted with volatility.<\/p>\n<p>On August 31, the price of the first cryptocurrency <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bitcoin-slips-below-26000-as-sec-decision-on-bitcoin-etfs-weighs-on-markets\">tested<\/a> the $26,000 level, briefly falling to $25,660. However in September he pointed to <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/arthur-hayes-points-to-positive-bitcoin-prospects-despite-fed-policy\">positive prospects<\/a> for Bitcoin despite the Federal Reserve&#8217;s policy.<\/p>\n<p>The founder of Edelman Financial Engines, Rick Edelman, forecast Bitcoin&#8217;s price rising to <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/expert-forecasts-bitcoin-to-reach-150000\">$150,000<\/a> by summer 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Recall, Bitcoin&#8217;s dominance has <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bitcoin-dominance-tops-50-as-altcoins-slump\">returned to the 50%<\/a> mark after declines in August and early September.
