The report comes from <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.bleepingcomputer.com\/news\/security\/tiktok-flooded-by-elon-musk-cryptocurrency-giveaway-scams\/\\\">Bleeping Computer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the publication, the videos are posted hourly. In them, Musk allegedly gives interviews to major outlets and invites viewers to visit a site where the giveaways are conducted.<\/p>\n<figure class=\\\"wp-block-image size-large\\\"><img loading=\\\"lazy\\\" decoding=\\\"async\\\" width=\\\"1024\\\" height=\\\"1005\\\" src=\\\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/tiktok-scam-videos-1024x1005.webp\\\" alt=\\\"tiktok-scam-videos\\\" class=\\\"wp-image-216099\\\" srcset=\\\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/tiktok-scam-videos-1024x1005.webp 1024w, https:\/\/forklog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/tiktok-scam-videos-300x294.webp 300w, https:\/\/forklog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/tiktok-scam-videos-768x754.webp 768w, https:\/\/forklog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/tiktok-scam-videos.webp 1223w\\\" sizes=\\\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\\\" \/><figcaption class=\\\"wp-element-caption\\\">Source: Bleeping Computer.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Criminals created hundreds of such pages, including some posing as crypto exchanges.<\/p>\n<p>Most videos use very similar domain names: bitoxies.com, Moonexio.com, altgetxio.com, cratopex.com.<\/p>\n<p>Journalists tested one of the giveaways: they created an account on the platform and entered the promo code shown in the TikTok video. After that, they were promised a credit of bitcoins to their account.<\/p>\n<p>The screenshot below shows that the wallet allegedly contained 0.34 BTC ($9,000). The estimated loss exceeded $691 000.
