They were among those who left the company amid internal disagreements, including over collaboration with Microsoft.<\/p>\n<p>In February, reports surfaced about <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/media-google-invests-300m-in-chatgpt-rival\">Google\u2019s $300 million investment<\/a> in Anthropic. Later the team unveiled <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ex-openai-insiders-unveil-claude-a-rival-to-chatgpt\">the Claude chatbot<\/a>, which is set to challenge ChatGPT.<\/p>\n<p>In May, the startup <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ai-startup-anthropic-raises-450-million-from-google-and-other-investors\">raised $450 million<\/a> from Spark Capital, Google, Salesforce Ventures, Zoom Ventures and others. The funds were earmarked to develop \u201cuseful, safe and honest AI systems\u201d.
