Previously, it was planned for 29 November.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\n<cite>\u201cWe are focused on building the technology. We update the roadmap as needed, including an update to the unlocking schedule,\u201d said one of StarkWare&#8217;s representatives in an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblock.co\/post\/254142\/ethereum-starkware-token-unlocks-delay\">The Block<\/a>.<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It is not yet clear how many tokens will be released to the market in the spring of next year. The total supply of STRK is 10 billion, but the coins are not yet listed on exchanges.<\/p>\n<p>An informed source told the publication that the tokens of the first unlock are intended for key ecosystem participants, early supporters and StarkWare employees, \u201cand not for the general public.\u201d The team&#8217;s current decision does not necessarily imply a postponement of subsequent unlocks.<\/p>\n<p>The company released STRK on the Ethereum network <a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/starkware\/starknet-token-is-deployed-on-ethereum-f27f0000b00c\">in November 2022<\/a>. Shortly before that, in July, the developers announced the token launch.<\/p>\n<p>STRK is intended to pay transaction fees, decentralised governance of the project and staking.<\/p>\n<p>The StarkNet ecosystem&#8217;s total TVL exceeds $40 million.
