Among the possibilities are closer cooperation with Nvidia, seeking new suppliers, and building its own chip.<\/p>\n<p>According to sources, OpenAI has not yet made a final decision. Representatives of the company declined to comment.<\/p>\n<p>Industry participants said that moving to in-house production would be a major strategic initiative and would require substantial investment. They estimated the investment at hundreds of millions of dollars a year.<\/p>\n<p>Experts suggested that the chip-development process could accelerate the acquisition of a manufacturing company.
