This arrangement has two main drawbacks \u2014 a risk of centralisation among node operators and a heavy burden on the consensus mechanism.<\/p>\n<p>As a solution, the developer proposed reducing staking rewards by four times and imposing limits on the maximum amount of locked assets to 6.25 million ETH. He noted that this happened with &#8216;100% uptime and no dirty hard forks&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>In September 2022, Hoskinson <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/charles-hoskinson-calls-ethereum-classic-a-dead-project\">criticized Ethereum Classic<\/a> for unrealised potential.
