Who&#8217;s next?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Shortly after <a href=\"http:\/\/forklog.media\/btcc-resisted-a-harsh-ddos-attack\/\" target=\"_blank\">DDoS attack on the major Chinese cryptocurrency exchange<\/a>, BTCC, two other Bitcoin exchanges reported DDoS attacks on their sites within the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p><H3>BTC-e<\/H3><\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin exchange BTC-e has been offline for as long as four hours. According to the company&#8217;s tweets and official statements at the website, the exchange was subject to a DDoS attack.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">DDoS attack on our server <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/btce?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#btce<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; BTC-E (@btcecom) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/btcecom\/status\/685125259872354305?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 7, 2016<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>However, now the site is reported to be functional:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/4JB3Aq6VnL\">https:\/\/t.co\/4JB3Aq6VnL<\/a>   &#8211; online! <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/btce?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#btce<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; BTC-E (@btcecom) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/btcecom\/status\/685388507720904704?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 8, 2016<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The exchange&#8217;s downtime occurred during a surge in bitcoin exchange rates at American and Chinese markets. Whether the attack has anything to do with the price growth or not, remains unknown. BTC-e provided no comments concerning the issue. <\/p>\n<p>BTC-e suffered from distribied denial of service attacks earlier.<\/p>\n<p><H3>Bitstamp<\/H3><\/p>\n<p>As soon as BTC-e repelled the attack, another exchange, BitStamp, tweeted:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Our site is under DDoS attack. We are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
