{"id":86979,"date":"2023-11-14T09:59:46","date_gmt":"2023-11-14T07:59:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=86979"},"modified":"2025-09-13T08:58:54","modified_gmt":"2025-09-13T05:58:54","slug":"cboe-to-launch-margined-bitcoin-and-ethereum-futures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/cboe-to-launch-margined-bitcoin-and-ethereum-futures\/","title":{"rendered":"CBOE to launch margined Bitcoin and Ethereum futures"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On January 11, 2024, <span data-descr=\"Chicago Board Options Exchange\" class=\"old_tooltip\">CBOE<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/cboe-digital-to-launch-margined-bitcoin-and-ether-futures-on-january-11-2024-backed-by-crypto-and-traditional-finance-players-301986086.html\">will launch<\/a> trading and clearing <span data-descr=\"using leverage\" class=\"old_tooltip\">margined<\/span> futures on Bitcoin and Ethereum.<\/p>\n<p>Such contracts will allow clients to trade without posting full collateral, offering greater capital efficiency than trading on full margin.<\/p>\n<p>Market makers for the instrument will include: B2C2, BlockFills, CQG, Cumberland DRW, Jump Trading Group, Marex, StoneX Financial, Talos, Tastytrade, Trading Technologies, and Wedbush.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;CBOE Digital will be the first regulated US unified cryptocurrency exchange and clearinghouse that will allow trading derivatives both on spot and with leverage on a single platform,&#8221;<\/em> \u2014 the company said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The platform plans to expand its lineup and add &#8220;physically settled&#8221;
