Data: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/x\/2BCCn89Y\/\">TradingView<\/a>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Asset manager<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2023-11-13\/fake-blackrock-fund-filing-triggers-brief-rally-in-xrp-cryptocurrency\">refuted<\/a> the authenticity of the document circulated on X by a Delaware-based affiliated firm that allegedly filed to launch the iShares XRP Trust.<\/p>\n<p>The document contained details that matched BlackRock\u2019s analogous proposals, including the name and address of its registered agent. The document resembled prior filings for<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/blackrock-files-for-bitcoin-etf-launch\"> Bitcoin<\/a> and<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/nasdaq-confirms-blackrocks-filing-to-launch-the-ishares-ethereum-trust-a-spot-ethereum-etf\"> Ethereum<\/a>, but with XRP specified.<\/p>\n<p>Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas also warned of this, citing BlackRock representatives.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This is false! [\u2026] A filing for an XRP ETF at this time would be challenging,<\/em> \u2014 a specialist commented.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>On October 24, BlackRock\u2019s proposed spot Bitcoin ETF \u2014 iShares Bitcoin Trust \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/dtcc-adds-blackrocks-bitcoin-etf-to-list-of-supported-assets\">appeared<\/a> on the DTCC\u2019s list of assets for which the company provides post-trade, clearing and settlement services.<\/p>\n<p>Later, the ETF\u2019s listing on the platform site <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/dtcc-site-removes-blackrock-spot-etf-ticker-bitcoin-falls\">disappeared<\/a>. Colin Wu, citing unnamed analysts, reported that the <span data-descr=\"U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission\" class=\"old_tooltip\">SEC<\/span> could have contacted BlackRock, \u201casking them to wait.\u201d Against this backdrop, Bitcoin\u2019s price fell to around $33,500.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier on October 16, the crypto media Cointelegraph published a post on X about the approval of BlackRock\u2019s spot Bitcoin ETF.
