The claim is made in<a href=\"https:\/\/ethresear.ch\/t\/the-application-of-zk-snarks-in-solidity-privacy-transformation-computational-optimization-and-mev-resistance\/17017\"> \u0438\u0441\u0441\u043b\u0435\u0434\u043e\u0432\u0430\u043d\u0438\u0438<\/a> by Salus Security co-founder Mirror Tanga and his colleagues.<\/p>\n<p>The document explores ways to use<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-are-rollups-and-how-do-they-scale-ethereum\"> ZK-SNARK<\/a> to enable private transactions using the Solidity programming language.<\/p>\n<p>According to Tanga, implementing the solution&#8217;s functionality at a basic level could eliminate the need for<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-layer%e2%80%912-solution-in-blockchain\"> L2<\/a>-networks.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;If we can use computational optimization to incorporate ZKP technology into Solidity, we could significantly reduce gas fees on Ethereum itself,&#8221;<\/em> the study states.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As a result, transaction activity would be concentrated on the mainnet rather than in disparate L2 ecosystems, Tanga explained.<\/p>\n<p>The document cites technical barriers to deploying ZK-SNARK on Ethereum.<\/p>\n<p>For example, Solidity currently executes one transaction at a time, which will require finding ways to implement multi-threading.<\/p>\n<p>There will also be a need to enable auditing of the solution to verify its security.<\/p>\n<p>ZK-SNARK relies on verifiers who submit precise proofs to external verifiers without disclosing information, which implies additional storage requirements at the verification stage.<\/p>\n<p>According to Tanga, in the absence of these barriers, integrating the solution into Solidity could enhance privacy and resilience to <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-mev-in-ethereum\">MEV<\/a>, enabling private transactions and voting on existing Ethereum projects.<\/p>\n<p>Expedited verification would improve blockchain performance overall, he noted.<\/p>\n<p>If the research progresses, the authors will disclose the source code. The co-founder of Salus Security expects that the community and venture capital firms will take an interest in the initiative.<\/p>\n<p>The Iron Fish<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/iron-fish-launches-a-privacy-focused-blockchain\"> launched<\/a> its mainnet after two years of development.
