(@SeiNetwork) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SeiNetwork\/status\/1724794822341578891?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 15, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\n<cite>\u201cUSDC on Sei will unlock more efficient and accessible cross-border transaction capabilities, improve the existing payment infrastructure and significantly increase liquidity of digital asset markets for users and developers,\u201d according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.sei.io\/circle-strategic-investment\/\">blog<\/a>.<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Sei Foundation Director Sami Karim expressed confidence that the Sei project can provide \u201ca perfectly scalable infrastructure\u201d to meet demand for stablecoins as the crypto market grows and matures.<\/p>\n<p>Sei Network \u2014 a Layer 1 blockchain focused on exchange trading. In April, the project team <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/sei-blockchain-startup-raised-30-million-at-an-800-million-valuation\">raised<\/a> financing of $30 million at a valuation of $800 million.<\/p>\n<p>In August, the developers of the L1 blockchain <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/sei-community-disenchanted-by-modest-airdrop\">conducted an airdrop<\/a> of native tokens, but recipients were dissatisfied with the modest rewards.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier ForkLog reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/circle-deploys-1-billion-to-compete-in-the-stablecoins-market\">Circle has $1 billion<\/a> allocated to bolster its position in the stablecoins segment.<\/p>\n<p>USDC is the second-largest stablecoin by market capitalization after Tether&#8217;s USDT. The crypto asset&#8217;s share in its segment <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/categories\/stablecoins\" title=\"\u0441\u043e\u0441\u0442\u0430\u0432\u043b\u044f\u0435\u0442 18,9%\">accounts for 18.9%<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Circle is considering a potential IPO in early 2024.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Circle&#8217;s venture arm\u2014the issuer of the USDC stablecoin\u2014invested in the L1 Sei project.
