Data: Anthropic.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The new model also features substantial improvements in understanding and generalisation, especially for long and complex materials requiring a high degree of precision.<\/p>\n<p>Anthropic also added a beta feature of Claude-based tools that can be integrated with third-party applications to assist developers.<\/p>\n<p>The tool&#8217;s capabilities include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>using a calculator for complex computations;<\/li>\n<li>transforming textual queries into structured code;<\/li>\n<li>web search to answer the posed question;<\/li>\n<li>executing commands via <span data-descr=\"Application Programming Interface \u2014 the application interface\" class=\"old_tooltip\">API<\/span>;<\/li>\n<li>configuring client services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Claude 2.1 is available in the chat-bot interface only to users with a Claude Pro subscription.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in February, media <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/media-google-invests-300m-in-chatgpt-rival\">reported<\/a> that Anthropic had raised $300 million from Google. In March, the Spark Capital <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/gpt-4-teaser-a-virtual-photo-studio-and-other-ai-news\">invested<\/a> the same amount in the AI startup. At that time, its valuation reached $4.1 billion.<\/p>\n<p>In August, Anthropic <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ai-startup-anthropic-secures-100m-from-sk-telecom\">raised $100 million<\/a> from the South Korean telecom giant SK Telecom. In September, Amazon <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/amazon-to-invest-up-to-4-billion-in-ai-startup-anthropic\">announced<\/a> strategic investments in the startup worth up to $4 billion.
