This was stated by the Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, <a href=\"https:\/\/tass.ru\/ekonomika\/19490629\">writes<\/a> TASS.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\n<cite>&#8220;This technology is evolving and will continue to evolve. Next year, I am confident that we will all be able to open a digital wallet and pay in the new currency,&#8221; he said.<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>According to the minister, there are already agreements with the Bank of Russia on the use of the instrument in the budgetary system.<\/p>\n<p>On 7 December the State Duma of the Russian Federation <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/digital-ruble-integrated-into-russias-tax-system\">passed a law<\/a>, providing for the integration of the digital ruble into the tax regulation and control system. From 2025 the asset can be seized if there is a shortage or absence of other funds in the citizen&#8217;s account.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier estimates put potential losses to banks from the digital ruble <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/banks-potential-losses-from-the-digital-ruble-estimated-at-%e2%82%bd95-billion\">at \u20bd95 \u043c\u043b\u0440\u0434<\/a>. Its introduction will deprive commercial organisations of commission income from processing card payments, but in the long run the impact on profitability will be modest.<\/p>\n<p>In October it became known that foreign banks <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bank-of-russia-foreign-banks-to-gain-access-to-the-digital-ruble-in-2025\">will gain access<\/a> to the digital ruble in 2025.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In 2024, all Russians will be able to open a wallet to pay with digital rubles.
