This is stated in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elibrary.imf.org\/view\/journals\/002\/2023\/399\/002.2023.issue-399-en.xml\">memorandum<\/a>, concluded between the government and the <span data-descr=\"IMF\" class=\"old_tooltip\">IMF<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the document, the International Monetary Fund warned of threats to price stability and the effectiveness of monetary policy arising from the virtual assets market.<\/p>\n<p>To prevent risks, the Ukrainian government has been advised to tighten the existing legal framework with consideration of IMF technical assistance and bring it in line with the norms of the European regulation <span data-descr=\"Markets in Crypto Assets\" class=\"old_tooltip\">MiCA<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The new document is expected to be presented by the end of June 2024.<\/p>\n<p>As noted earlier, the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ukrainian-parliament-approves-updated-law-on-virtual-assets\">approved in 2021<\/a> law &#8220;On Virtual Assets&#8221; has been postponed until taxation of digital asset operations is introduced.
