Local media report, citing letters sent to users <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.cityam.com\/revolut-to-suspend-crypto-trading-for-uk-business-customers-as-city-regulator-prepares-new-rules\/\\\">\u043c\u0435\u0441\u0442\u043d\u044b\u0435 \u0421\u041c\u0418<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, the ability to hold and sell digital assets for this category of customers will remain unchanged. The ban will not affect retail clients.<\/p>\n<p>Revolut said the move was necessary to adapt to new requirements set by the UK&#8217;s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\\&#8221;We need to adjust our current cryptocurrency offering for business customers to ensure that all new requirements are met,\\&#8221; the email says.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>From 2 September, Revolut <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/revolut-to-wind-down-crypto-operations-in-the-united-states\">suspended<\/a> the provision of cryptocurrency services in the United States due to &#8216;a changing regulatory environment and uncertainty around the digital-asset market&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in October, a new regime for advertising cryptocurrencies, proposed by the FCA, began to apply in the United Kingdom.
