ChainArgos analysts stated this.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">2\/4 Based on the <a href=\\\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Ethereum?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\\\">#Ethereum<\/a> addresses, there are a handful of suspicious transfers that may or may not be linked to the <a href=\\\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Finiko?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\\\">#Finiko<\/a> pyramid scheme, but otherwise nothing that appears out of the ordinary. <a href=\\\"https:\/\/t.co\/2FvOqwDA4W\\\">pic.twitter.com\/2FvOqwDA4W<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 ChainArgos (@ChainArgos) <a href=\\\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ChainArgos\/status\/1737404909442801848?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\\\">December 20, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\\\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\\\" charset=\\\"utf-8\\\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Currently, all wallets are virtually empty.<\/p>\n<p>The Finiko pyramid <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/founders-of-the-finiko-pyramid-suspected-of-exit-scam\">operated<\/a> from 2019 to 2021 in Russia, Kazakhstan and several other CIS republics, offering clients to invest in &#8220;high-yield investment schemes&#8221; in real estate and cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n<p>The total damage from the pyramid&#8217;s activities, according to independent estimates, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/finiko-pyramid-suspends-payouts-and-demands-users-personal-data\">exceeds $4 billion<\/a>. The number of victims is at least 850,000. A criminal case has been opened against Finiko for <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/co-founders-of-finiko-the-financial-pyramid-have-left-russia-authorities-issue-a-wanted-notice\">fraud on a particularly large scale<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The pyramid&#8217;s transactions included, in particular, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/u-s-sanctions-hit-bitcoin-exchange-chatex\">the US-sanctioned<\/a> exchange Chatex, which was sanctioned by the United States in November 2021. Among <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/cleaning-up-the-dirt-which-bitzlato-counterparties-face-new-criminal-charges\">the pyramid&#8217;s counterparties<\/a> were the exchanges Binance, Garantex Europe OU, Bitpanda, Luno and Coinbase, LocalBitcoins, Totalcoin.io and Bitzlato, as well as other platforms with the absence of <span data-descr=\"Know Your Customer\" class=\"old_tooltip\">KYC<\/span>-processes or minimal <span data-descr=\"anti-money-laundering\" class=\"old_tooltip\">AML<\/span> requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Since December 1, 2023, Tether has begun freezing wallets from the <span data-descr=\"Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) List\" class=\"old_tooltip\">SDN<\/span>-list <span data-descr=\"Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)\" class=\"old_tooltip\">OFAC<\/span>.
