Sotheby\u2019s managed to set a new price record in the segment \u2014 $6.2 million for Dmitry Chernyak\u2019s NFT &#8220;Ringers #879 (The Goose)&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>In August 2021, the digital artwork <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/three-arrows-capital-buys-ringers-879-nft-for-5-8-million\">acquired<\/a> by the cryptocurrency hedge fund Three Arrows Capital (3AC). After its <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/british-virgin-islands-court-orders-liquidation-of-three-arrows-capital\">bankruptcy<\/a> in 2022, Sotheby\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/sothebys-to-auction-nft-collection-from-hedge-fund-3ac\">put<\/a> up for auction the 3AC NFT collection.<\/p>\n<p>Among Bouhanna&#8217;s other achievements, he highlighted:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>launch of a secondary on-chain marketplace with royalties for NFT creators;<\/li>\n<li>the first live auction at $12 million with more than 300 attendees;<\/li>\n<li>conducting more than 25 digital-art auctions;<\/li>\n<li>the launch of the successful NFT collection Themes and Variations by the 99-year-old artist Vera Molnar and Martin Grasser.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Earlier in February, Sotheby\u2019s put up for sale the manuscript of Neal Stephenson&#8217;s cult novel &#8220;Avalanche&#8221;.
