The head of the investment company reminded that the Commission <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/media-reports-on-the-sec-deadline-for-bitcoin-etf-applications\">designated December 29<\/a> as the deadline for applicants to file amended applications.<\/p>\n<p>ARK Invest, along with 21Shares, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ark-and-21shares-file-another-bid-for-bitcoin-etf-approval\">is listed among<\/a> those awaiting approval to launch an exchange-traded fund based on the first cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n<p>Wood believes that spot Bitcoin ETFs will become a catalyst for the growth of the cryptocurrency once institutional investors embrace the space.<\/p>\n<p>She expressed confidence that digital gold would continue its bull run in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>According to Wood, Bitcoin is a <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/cathie-wood-would-unambiguously-pick-bitcoin-as-a-defensive-asset-bloomberg-reports\">hedge against inflation and deflation<\/a>, and in five years the asset will be treated as an investment in physical gold.<\/p>\n<p>She noted that, over time, Bitcoin could be used as legal tender in developing countries, following the example of El Salvador, she said.<\/p>\n<p>Wood has described Bitcoin as a <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/cathie-wood-would-unambiguously-pick-bitcoin-as-a-defensive-asset-bloomberg-reports\">&#8216;clear-cut&#8217;<\/a> choice as a defensive asset.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The depth of the SEC&#8217;s knowledge and the crypto industry&#8217;s issues have improved, increasing the chances of a swift approval for spot Bitcoin ETFs.
