Funds are distributed across more than 100 DeFi protocols, including Aave, Ethena, Fluid, and Euler. According to the team, Plasma will immediately become the eighth-largest blockchain by stablecoin liquidity.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Users will be able to transfer USDT without fees through the network interface.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe will focus on markets with limited access to dollars and high demand for stable currency, where the benefits of its use are most evident. Our goal is to ensure the simplicity of storing, transferring, and applying digital dollars,\u201d noted Plasma founder Paul Fax in a comment to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dlnews.com\/articles\/defi\/plasma-stablecoin-blockchain-sets-launch-date\/?utm_source=telegram&#038;utm_medium=organic_social&#038;utm_campaign=\">DL News<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The launch follows months of preparation. In July, the project <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/plasma-stablecoin-project-raises-373-million-in-token-sale\">raised<\/a> $373 million during a public sale of XPL. The amount exceeded the target of $50 million by more than seven times.<\/p>\n<p>Plasma is an EVM-compatible Bitcoin sidechain designed for free USDT transactions. The network received $3.5 million in investments in a round led by Bitfinex and $20 million in a Series A round involving Peter Thiel&#8217;s Founders Fund.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Competitive Market\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>In recent months, more companies have joined the race to create payment networks for &#8220;stablecoins.&#8221; Previously, the payment giant Stripe and venture firm Paradigm <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/stripe-ceo-highlights-business-interest-in-stablecoins\">began<\/a> developing a blockchain called Tempo.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The company behind USDC, Circle, also <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/circle-to-launch-stablecoin-focused-blockchain-arc\">announced<\/a> plans to launch the Arc network for processing stablecoin transactions.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the market leaders are TRON and Ethereum. In the past 24 hours, they have processed transactions worth $151 billion and $77 billion, respectively.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"100%\" height=\"420\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.theblock.co\/data\/stablecoins\/usd-pegged\/total-stablecoin-supply-per-chain\/embed\" title=\"Total Stablecoin Supply Per Chain\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Previously, the TRON community <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/justin-sun-announces-60-reduction-in-tron-network-fees\">supported<\/a> an initiative to reduce fees by 60% to protect the blockchain&#8217;s position. Meanwhile, the volume of &#8220;stablecoins&#8221; on Ethereum <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblock.co\/data\/stablecoins\/usd-pegged\/total-stablecoin-supply-daily\">reached<\/a> a record $166 billion, half of which is USDT.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cReducing fees on TRON makes sense, given its position as the second-largest network by stablecoin liquidity.
