These locks remain under the sponsors&#8217; control but can support multiple Compacts\u2014verifiable commitments with specified conditions under which other participants can access the assets.<\/p>\n<p>The architecture includes four key elements:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>allocators \u2014 prevent double-spending by controlling resource usage;<\/li>\n<li>arbiters \u2014 verify the fulfillment of commitment conditions;<\/li>\n<li>tribunal \u2014 a settlement mechanism for cross-chain transactions;<\/li>\n<li>emissaries \u2014 provide backup verification for smart wallets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The system is intended for cross-chain exchanges in UniswapX. It is also being implemented in LI.FI and Rhinestone.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Cross-chain applications face a key challenge: different execution environments operate asynchronously, making <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-are-atomic-swaps\">atomic operations<\/a> impossible [\u2026]. This disrupts the fundamental guarantee of atomicity, which ensures transactions within a single network remain secure and predictable,&#8221; the developers explained.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Representatives of the leading <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-decentralised-exchange-dex\">DEX<\/a> added that Compact v1 has undergone several independent security audits by OpenZeppelin and Spearbit. Full audit reports will be published soon.
