According to the Australian Institute of International Affairs, over $33 billion has been allocated to these efforts over 15 years. <\/p>\n<p>The solution was developed by BayaniChain Ventures, which records contracts and key project milestones in a secure ledger based on the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-polygon-matic\">Polygon<\/a> network. According to BayaniChain CEO Paul Soliman, the goal is to <a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/341237\/philippines-blockchain-mass-protests-corruption\">transform<\/a> government records into \u201cimmutable, verifiable, and openly confirmable digital public assets.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Data in the system is verified by independent validators, including public organizations, universities, and media outlets, who review and confirm the records. The actions of the nodes conducting these checks are also recorded on the blockchain to maintain accountability. More than 40 non-governmental organizations participated in the project&#8217;s launch.<\/p>\n<p>In the future, Integrity Chain is expected to expand to other government departments. Soliman noted that this would help \u201csafeguard the entire annual budget of the Philippines,\u201d estimated at approximately $98 billion.
