But what you can do with it just did.<\/p>\n<p>From the June 2024 announcement that Starknet would scale Bitcoin, to the product rollouts of March 2025, the path has been clear.<\/p>\n<p>BTCFi on Starknet is where that momentum now leads \ud83e\uddf5 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/dznkDJYsK8\">pic.twitter.com\/dznkDJYsK8<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Starknet (BTCFi arc) (@Starknet) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Starknet\/status\/1972894325596922347?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 30, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The community <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/starknet-community-approves-bitcoin-staking-integration\">approved<\/a> the integration of Bitcoin <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-staking-and-how-to-make-money-from-it\">staking<\/a> under <span data-descr=\"Starknet Improvement Proposal\" class=\"old_tooltip\">SNIP<\/span>-31 in August, with 93.6% of voters supporting the proposal. <\/p>\n<p>Previously, users could only stake the network&#8217;s native token, STRK. <\/p>\n<p>The mechanism does not alter the base layer of the digital gold blockchain, which operates on the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-the-proof-of-work-pow-algorithm\">Proof-of-Work<\/a> algorithm. Starknet supports <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-wrapped-token\">\u201cwrapped\u201d<\/a> versions of Bitcoin\u2014WBTC, LBTC, tBTC, and SolvBTC\u2014with potential for future expansion. <\/p>\n<p>This new feature is positioned as the first native and sustainable source of yield for cryptocurrency investors among all <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-are-rollups-and-how-do-they-scale-ethereum\">rollup<\/a> solutions.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cLast year, I said Starknet would unlock the power of Bitcoin. The funds will be used to incentivize lending against digital gold collateral. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cBitcoin is the best form of collateral.
