In the second quarter the company <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/tether-reports-quarterly-profit-of-4-9-billion\">earned<\/a> $4.9bn and became one of the largest holders of US Treasuries at $127bn.<\/p>\n<p>Media <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/tether-seeks-20-billion-to-reach-500-billion-valuation-reports-suggest\">reported<\/a> that the company plans to raise $20bn, which could lift its valuation to $500bn. Later <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/softbank-and-ark-investment-consider-20-billion-investment-in-tether\">it emerged<\/a> that preliminary talks for the issuer\u2019s large funding round involve Japan\u2019s SoftBank and Ark Investment, run by <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/who-is-cathie-wood-and-how-does-she-promote-bitcoin\">Cathie Wood<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Bitwise\u2019s chief investment officer Matt Hougan <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bitwise-predicts-tethers-ascendancy-among-major-companies\">said<\/a> Tether could surpass Saudi Aramco by value and become the most profitable company in history.<\/p>\n<p>USDT remains the most capitalised <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-are-stablecoins\">stablecoin<\/a> on the market with a 58.4% share. Tether is involved in <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/tether-to-launch-personal-ai\">artificial intelligence<\/a>, telecommunications, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/tethers-paolo-ardoino-predicts-leadership-in-bitcoin-mining\">bitcoin mining<\/a> and more.<\/p>\n<p>The company is currently <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/tether-ceo-confirms-plans-to-launch-usdt-in-the-us-market\">focused<\/a> on expanding in the American market. On September 13 it <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/tether-introduces-us-regulated-stablecoin\">unveiled<\/a> the \u201cstablecoin\u201d USAT, aimed at users in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>During a panel at the Token2049 conference in Singapore, Ardoino said Tether will use video platform Rumble to promote the new stablecoin, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblock.co\/post\/373010\/tether-taps-rumble-drive-usat-adoption\">The Block<\/a> reported.
