People will be able to be more productive, more inventive, learn faster and better cope with any tasks in life. The service will open the way to a new generation of applications\u2014interactive, adaptive and personalized\u2014that you can simply talk to,&#8221; said OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier the company launched the GPT Store, where developers could create interactive apps. That was a separate marketplace; now programs are embedded directly in ChatGPT. Users can invoke third-party tools during a conversation with the bot.<\/p>\n<p>For example, you can say: &#8220;Figma, turn this sketch into a working diagram&#8221; or &#8220;Coursera, tell me something about machine learning&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>During a demo of the new capabilities, users used Zillow to find nearby apartments within a specified price range. ChatGPT showed an interactive map, and people refined details on each property right in the chat.<\/p>\n<p>The bot can automatically suggest useful apps. Ask it to make a playlist for a weekend party, and the AI will open Spotify in the dialogue.<\/p>\n<p>Further integrations are planned, including DoorDash, Instacart, Uber and AllTrails.<\/p>\n<p>The system is built on the Model Context Protocol, which lets developers connect their own data sources to the AI platform. Apps can not only take actions but also render interactive elements directly in the bot\u2019s responses. Some can even display video\u2014pinned at the top of the page and changing with the user\u2019s requests.<\/p>\n<p>With an active ChatGPT subscription, you can sign into a service from within the app to access additional features.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>AgentKit for AI agents<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>At DevDay 2025 Altman presented AgentKit, a set of tools for building and deploying AI agents.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;AgentKit is a complete set of building blocks on the OpenAI platform, capable of taking agents from prototype to production. It is everything you need to create, launch and optimize the workflows of digital assistants with minimal friction,&#8221; said the entrepreneur.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The service includes several components:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Agent Builder \u2014 a tool Altman compared to Canva. It lets you design agents\u2019 logic, steps and ideas;<\/li>\n<li>ChatKit \u2014 a module that provides a simple embeddable chat interface. It allows developers to integrate AI conversations into their applications;<\/li>\n<li>Evals for Agents \u2014 a toolkit for evaluating agent performance. In August the figure was around 700m; at the end of March it was 500m.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Today 4m developers are creating solutions using OpenAI. More than 800m people use ChatGPT every week, and we process over 6bn tokens per minute via the API. Thanks to you, artificial intelligence has turned from a toy into a full-fledged tool for work and creativity,&#8221; said the entrepreneur.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The company is releasing new products at a brisk pace. In early October it <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/openai-unveils-a-rival-to-tiktok\">unveiled<\/a> Sora 2, an updated audio and video generator. It simultaneously released the Sora social app, where users can create clips featuring themselves and friends and share them in a TikTok-style algorithmic feed.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Trillion-dollar partnerships<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>OpenAI continues to expand its partner network \u2014 in 2025 the value of signed contracts <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/5f6f78af-aed9-43a5-8e31-2df7851ceb67\">reached<\/a> roughly $1 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>The company <a href=\"https:\/\/openai.com\/index\/openai-amd-strategic-partnership\/\">struck an agreement<\/a> with AMD for 6 GW to power \u201cnext-generation artificial intelligence infrastructure\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The first launch of 1 gigawatt of AMD Instinct MI450 GPUs is planned for the second half of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the deal, AMD issued OpenAI a warrant to purchase up to 160m of its common shares. Rights to the securities will vest gradually as certain milestones are met.<\/p>\n<p>There were earlier agreements with Nvidia, Oracle and CoreWeave. Across all partnerships, OpenAI will gain access to more than 20 GW of compute over ten years\u2014roughly the output of 20 nuclear reactors.<\/p>\n<p>The deals far exceed the company\u2019s revenues and raise questions about how it will finance them.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;OpenAI is not currently in a position to take on such commitments,&#8221; said DA Davidson analyst Gil Luria.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He said the startup\u2019s loss in 2025 could reach $10bn. Many firms are making outsized bets on OpenAI, the expert added.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>An updated API<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>At DevDay 2025 OpenAI announced updates to its API. They include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>GPT-5 Pro \u2014 the newest language model;<\/li>\n<li>Sora 2 \u2014 the updated video generator;<\/li>\n<li>a more compact and cheaper voice model, gpt-realtime mini.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>GPT-5 Pro may appeal to developers building applications for finance, law and medicine, where \u201chigh accuracy and depth of reasoning\u201d are required, Altman noted.<\/p>\n<p>He said voice technologies will play a key role in the future.
