The return came to 226,000%.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, another trader <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/lookonchain\/status\/1975521885564883329\">made<\/a> $1.6m in profit after initially putting $5,756 into a memecoin.<\/p>\n<p>The frenzy around CZ-linked memecoins is not new. In February, Zhao <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/dog-name-sparks-meme-coin-frenzy\">told<\/a> the community about his Belgian Malinois named Broccoli \u2014 soon the market was flooded with tokens named after it.<\/p>\n<p>The Binance founder had previously <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/cz_binance\/status\/1861306581758976434\">been sceptical<\/a> of memecoins, calling them &#8220;weird&#8221;. He had urged the market to focus on building applications with real value.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A new $1bn fund<\/h2>\n<p>On 8 October, the former Binance Labs unit \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/binance-labs-rebrands-as-yzi-labs\">YZi Labs<\/a> \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/yzilabs\/status\/1975822909307560092\">announced<\/a> a $1bn fund. The capital will go to supporting developers on BNB Chain.<\/p>\n<p>According to the announcement, the programme will provide ecosystem participants not only with financing but also access to various tools. The company expects the initiative to reach at least 460,000 users.<\/p>\n<p>Priority areas include <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-decentralised-finance-defi\">DeFi<\/a>, artificial intelligence, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-are-rwas-real-world-assets\">RWA<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/distributed-knowledge-how-desci-works-and-whether-decentralised-science-has-a-future\">DeSci<\/a>, payment solutions and wallets.<\/p>\n<p>On 7 October, BNB <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bnb-surpasses-xrp-in-market-capitalisation-reaches-1300\">reached<\/a> $1,300 and overtook XRP by market capitalisation.
