{"id":89838,"date":"2025-10-13T12:30:00","date_gmt":"2025-10-13T09:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=89838"},"modified":"2025-10-13T12:30:16","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T09:30:16","slug":"hyperliquid-to-enable-creation-of-perpetual-futures-markets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/hyperliquid-to-enable-creation-of-perpetual-futures-markets\/","title":{"rendered":"Hyperliquid to Enable Creation of Perpetual Futures Markets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On October 13th, the decentralized exchange (DEX) <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/the-price-of-popularity-and-a-lesson-for-all-hyperliquid\">Hyperliquid<\/a> will activate the HIP-3 update, as announced by the project administrator on <a href=\"https:\/\/discord.com\/channels\/1029781241702129716\/1180183595109847070\/1427177854034120734\">Discord<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The upgrade will simplify the creation of perpetual futures markets by removing the need for protocol-level permission.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/hyperliquid.gitbook.io\/hyperliquid-docs\/hyperliquid-improvement-proposals-hips\/hip-3-builder-deployed-perpetuals\">proposal<\/a>, any developer will be able to launch a <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-decentralised-exchange-dex\">DEX<\/a> based on HyperCore. To do so, they will need to <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-staking-and-how-to-make-money-from-it\">stake<\/a> 500,000 HYPE.<\/p>\n<p>The market creator is responsible for its parameters, from contract specifications and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-blockchain-oracle\">oracles<\/a> to leverage limits and settlement procedures. Developers can set a commission share of up to 50%. For traders, fees will be twice as high as on validator-managed markets, while the protocol&#8217;s revenue remains unchanged.<\/p>\n<p>To protect Hyperliquid and its users, HIP-3 includes security mechanisms such as validator slashing and open interest limits.<\/p>\n<p>Initially, several conditions will apply:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>one developer can launch one DEX;<\/li>\n<li>only isolated margin mode is supported;<\/li>\n<li>the first three assets can be launched for free, while subsequent ones will require participation in an auction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The project team described the update as a &#8220;key step towards full decentralization of the listing process.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The price of HYPE responded to the news with an increase. Over the past day, the asset rose by 13.3% to $42, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/coins\/hyperliquid\">CoinGecko<\/a>.
