Michael Haft, co-founder of Compass Coffee, noted that &#8220;all transactions were instantaneous.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cBitcoin payments are not new. But the fact that Square has made this process as simple as regular transactions for a local business like ours is truly groundbreaking. I set up the wallet in about two minutes, and now the system works alongside the usual credit cards and cash we&#8217;ve been using for over 10 years,\u201d <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/realgoodcoffee1\/status\/1978550338752741682\"><em>he added<\/em><\/a><em>.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The fintech service from Block <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/square-introduces-commission-free-bitcoin-payments-for-businesses\">introduced<\/a> an integrated solution for digital gold payments on October 8. It was <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/jack-dorseys-block-to-introduce-bitcoin-payments-via-square\">first announced<\/a> in May.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The pilot project with Compass Coffee marks the first real-world application of Square&#8217;s new system.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Starting November 10, retail businesses will be able to accept bitcoin and convert up to 50% of daily revenue into cryptocurrency. Until 2027, the service will not charge fees; thereafter, a 1% transaction fee will apply.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In August, Blue Origin, founded by Jeff Bezos, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/jeff-bezos-blue-origin-now-accepts-bitcoin-for-spaceflights\">began<\/a> accepting cryptocurrencies for spaceflight payments.
