The combined platform will enable clients to:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>invest short-term assets in the <span data-descr=\"a sale of securities with a commitment to repurchase them at a specified date and price\" class=\"old_tooltip\">REPO<\/span> market through prime broker <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ripple-acquires-prime-broker-hidden-road-for-1-25-billion\">Hidden Road<\/a> for additional income;<\/li>\n<li>conduct real-time international payments using digital assets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-are-ripple-and-the-cryptocurrency-xrp\">Ripple<\/a> representatives, acquiring GTreasury will grant the company access to a &#8220;multi-trillion-dollar market and a client base of the largest international corporations.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cTogether, we will create solutions that allow companies worldwide to unlock previously trapped capital, process payments instantly, and explore new growth avenues,\u201d emphasized fintech firm&#8217;s CEO Brad Garlinghouse.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>GTreasury is recognized as an industry standard for risk management, currency operations, and regulatory compliance. The company serves over 1,000 clients globally, including American Airlines and Hitachi.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">XRP Reserve<\/h2>\n<p>Ripple Labs will raise $1 billion to establish a digital asset treasury for the XRP token. Bloomberg reports this, citing informed sources.<\/p>\n<p>The funding will be organized through a <span data-descr=\"a company created to merge with another private firm aiming to go public without an IPO\" class=\"old_tooltip\">special purpose acquisition company<\/span>. Ripple will also contribute some of its own reserves. The details of the deal are still under discussion and may change. At the time of writing, fintech firm representatives have not commented on the news.<\/p>\n<p>If plans are realized, the structure will become the largest treasury focused on Ripple&#8217;s coin. In June, Trident Digital <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/expert-labels-xrp-and-sol-crypto-treasuries-as-scams\">announced<\/a> raising $500 million to form the &#8220;world&#8217;s first corporate treasury in XRP.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Over the past day, the cryptocurrency&#8217;s price has fallen by 5.7%.
