The issues affected Snapchat, Reddit, Hulu, gaming services, and cryptocurrency exchanges.<\/p>\n<p>The disruption was caused by technical difficulties at the US-EAST-1 data center in the United States. The AWS team reported an &#8220;elevated error rate&#8221; in the <span data-descr=\"Application Programming Interface \u2014 \u043f\u0440\u043e\u0433\u0440\u0430\u043c\u043c\u043d\u044b\u0439 \u0438\u043d\u0442\u0435\u0440\u0444\u0435\u0439\u0441 \u043f\u0440\u0438\u043b\u043e\u0436\u0435\u043d\u0438\u044f\" class=\"old_tooltip\">API<\/span> of the DynamoDB system. This database processes hundreds of thousands of requests per second for streaming services, payment systems, and games.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, platform representatives reported &#8220;significant signs of recovery&#8221; and a gradual return to normal operations.<\/p>\n<p>The Coinbase team reported partial restoration of platform functionality for some users.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Update: we&#8217;re seeing early signs of recovery, with some users being able to access and use Coinbase services now.<\/p>\n<p>Our team is still working on this issue with top priority.
