{"id":90167,"date":"2025-10-22T18:30:00","date_gmt":"2025-10-22T15:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=90167"},"modified":"2025-10-22T18:30:16","modified_gmt":"2025-10-22T15:30:16","slug":"aave-community-proposes-50-million-token-buyback-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/aave-community-proposes-50-million-token-buyback-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Aave Community Proposes $50 Million Token Buyback Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-dao-decentralised-autonomous-organisation\">DAO<\/a><strong> <\/strong>Aave is considering a <a href=\"https:\/\/governance.aave.com\/t\/arfc-aave-buybacks-program-an-update\/23290\">proposal<\/a> to launch an annual <a href=\"https:\/\/hub.forklog.com\/chto-takoe-obratnyj-vykup-i-szhiganie-tokenov\/?ysclid=mgg7l5zy9l171306773\">buyback<\/a> program for AAVE tokens worth $50 million, funded by the protocol&#8217;s revenues.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative was put forward by Aave Chan Initiative, a key service provider for the project&#8217;s community.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cWith the expiration of the current buyback program and its evident success, we believe it is the right time to formalize this practice to strengthen <span data-descr=\"a combination of two words: Aave + tokenomics\" class=\"old_tooltip\">Aavenomics<\/span>,\u201d the authors noted.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The proposal suggests weekly buybacks ranging from $250,000 to $1.75 million, depending on market conditions and available revenue. The Aave Financial Committee (AFC) and analytics firm TokenLogic will oversee this.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative also allows the AFC to invest reserves in Bitcoin and Ethereum in yield-generating strategies. The platform spent $644 million, equivalent to the combined total of all other top-10 programs.<\/p>\n<p>LayerZero ranked second, announcing in September a buyback of 5% of the ZRO supply for $150 million.
