After meeting China\u2019s president Xi Jinping in South Korea, US president Donald Trump announced plans to reduce tariffs on Chinese goods, AP News<\/a> reported, citing his remarks.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think, on a scale from zero to ten, where ten is the best, I\u2019d say the meeting was a 12,\u201d Trump said, also noting that a trade deal with China could be reached \u201cvery soon.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Uncertainty lingers<\/h2>\n

Analysts say macroeconomic prospects remain murky, keeping the risk of elevated volatility.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have so far only heard statements from Trump; China has not confirmed anything. [\u2026] Uncertainty is still present,\u201d noted Derek Lim of Caladan in a comment to <\/em>The Block<\/em><\/a>. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
