Over the past 24 hours its price fell 2.3%, but it is up 8.8% over 30 days. Demand may also have been spurred by legislative <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/pavel-durov-warns-of-the-imminent-demise-of-the-free-internet\">initiatives<\/a> that threaten user privacy.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Matt Henderson, a former product manager at <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/300-times-faster-than-ethereum-how-near-has-changed\">Near Protocol<\/a>, also says the recognition by experts of the project\u2019s reliability and technological maturity has buoyed the cryptocurrency\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">A Monero <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24XMR&#038;src=ctag&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$XMR<\/a> holder who believes the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24ZEC&#038;src=ctag&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$ZEC<\/a> flipping is due to \u201cVCs and insiders\u201d asked for my theory:<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t a theory. In their words, the privacy coin is finally ready for mass use.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cInitially the project offered cutting-edge privacy technology, but then the team had to adapt it for everyday use cases. Until recently it was technically impossible to make shielded transactions in mobile wallets due to high computational requirements. The situation changed with the arrival of the Zashi and Edge wallets,\u201d one user noted.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Another driver is rising liquidity, Henderson stressed. Earlier, the volume of shielded transactions in the privacy token <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/zcash-price-surges-700-amid-rising-demand-for-privacy\">reached<\/a> a record 4.9m ZEC. Helius Kab CEO Mert Mumtaz called the trend \u201cone of the craziest in the history of cryptocurrencies\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Zcash <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/zcash-price-surpasses-230-for-the-first-time-in-three-years\">has received<\/a> backing from many well-known figures in the crypto industry.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Outlook\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>Mumtaz believes the privacy coin will overtake XRP by market capitalisation.<\/p>\n<p>In the long term, former BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/zcash-celebrates-anniversary-with-470-surge\">expects<\/a> Zcash to rally to $10,000, and in the short term to $400.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Let me jinx this\u2026<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24ZEC&#038;src=ctag&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$ZEC<\/a> to $400 and beyond.
