Google has introduced new features in its AI Mode, enabling assistance with booking event tickets and scheduling beauty appointments. These are available to Search Labs subscribers in the United States, reports TechCrunch<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Users can prompt the system with requests such as:<\/p>\n

\u201cFind me two cheap tickets for the upcoming Shaboozey concert. Standing room preferred.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

AI Mode will search multiple websites in real-time to find suitable options. It will then provide a list of choices and redirect users to the booking page to complete the purchase.<\/p>\n

Subscribers to Google AI Pro and Ultra have access to increased limits.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur priority at Google Search is to provide you with high-quality, reliable information. The new mode is based on our core quality and safety systems, but it is still in an early experimental stage and may make mistakes,\u201d states the Search Labs page.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

AI Mode \u2014 introduced<\/a> in March \u2014 allows users to ask complex questions for in-depth exploration directly in Google Search. It processes multiple interrelated queries from different sources, structuring information into a single, coherent response.<\/p>\n

The AI Mode is regularly updated with new capabilities. In August, the company added<\/a> agentic functions, allowing users to book restaurant tables.<\/p>\n

The service enables requests based on various preferences: party size, date, time, location, and favorite cuisine. The tool analyzes real-time availability and suggests suitable options.<\/p>\n

Browsers: The Battleground for Attention<\/h2>\n

Browsers and search engines \u2014 the primary tools for internet access \u2014 are becoming key services for AI updates.<\/p>\n

In September, Google announced<\/a> a major enhancement to Chrome through Gemini integration. Users gained the ability to ask a chatbot to analyze web page content, manage multiple tabs, or perform more actions within one tab \u2014 such as scheduling a meeting or finding a YouTube video.<\/p>\n

Competitors are not idle. Apple plans<\/a> to launch its own neural network-based web search, integrated into the Siri voice assistant.<\/p>\n

In August, Anthropic introduced<\/a> an extension in Chrome for the AI agent Claude, and a month earlier, Perplexity launched<\/a> its own AI-based browser \u2014 Comet.<\/p>\n

OpenAI has also developed its own search engine and web browser Atlas<\/a>.<\/p>\n
