The Ethereum ecosystem has reached a new all-time high in transactions per second (TPS). Following the inclusion of data from the L2<\/a> network by the decentralized exchange<\/a> Lighter, the figure hit 24,192, according to Growthepie<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lighter’s throughput exceeds 4,000 TPS, which is several times higher than the second-layer solution Base<\/a>, which processes between 100 and 200 operations per second.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The technological foundation for this new record was laid by the hard forks Pectra<\/a> and Dencun<\/a>, which significantly increased the transaction processing speed of L2 networks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ryan Sean Adams, host of the Bankless podcast, noted that second-layer solutions have increased the ecosystem’s scalability by 200 times since October. He attributed this to the spread of ZK<\/a> technologies and predicted reaching 100,000 TPS in the coming months.<\/p>\n
