Notably, from 2027, new <span data-descr=\"Anti-Money Laundering \u2014 \u0431\u043e\u0440\u044c\u0431\u0430 \u0441 \u043e\u0442\u043c\u044b\u0432\u0430\u043d\u0438\u0435\u043c \u0434\u0435\u043d\u0435\u0433\" class=\"old_tooltip\">AML<\/span> rules in the EU will prohibit anonymous crypto accounts and the use of privacy coins like ZEC and XMR.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The sector&#8217;s market capitalization has increased to $26 billion, with a 5.8% rise in just the last 24 hours.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Zcash emerged as the primary beneficiary. However, some other coins also demonstrated impressive dynamics. On November 5, Bitcoin <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/extreme-fear-bitcoin-slips-below-the-100000-psychological-mark\">fell<\/a> below $100,000 for the first time since June, while Ethereum broke through the $3000 level.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The volume of shielded Zcash transactions also set another record at 4.96 million ZEC, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/zechub.wiki\/dashboard\">ZecHub<\/a>. This accounts for over 30% of the asset&#8217;s total supply.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>CoinDesk Research <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/11\/05\/crypto-s-anti-surveillance-boom-zcash-monero-and-the-return-of-anonymity\">noted<\/a> that more than a third of all crypto operations occur on the private layer. Analysts highlighted that users are increasingly moving coins from public blockchains to encrypted environments.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Galaxy Digital expert Will Owens <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/galaxy-identifies-zcash-as-a-bitcoin-alternative\">described<\/a> Zcash as the &#8220;spiritual successor&#8221; to Bitcoin.
