Aero will merge Aerodrome\u2019s AERO and Velodrome\u2019s VELO into a single AERO token. The coin will \u201cgrant a right to a share of the generated yield\u201d across the platform\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-decentralised-exchange-dex\">DEX<\/a> ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>The allocation will preserve the current revenue split between the protocols: 5.5% of tokens will go to existing VELO holders and 94.5% to AERO holders.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the merger, the project will expand to Ethereum and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/circle-launches-arc-blockchain-testnet\">Arc from Circle<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cAerodrome\u2019s success on Base inspired us to expand: through Aero we will be able to operate effectively in other Ethereum networks. Aero will lead the creation of a next-generation financial system \u2014 more advanced, faster and more accessible than today\u2019s,\u201d said Dromos CEO Alexander Cutler during a presentation.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A single technology layer<\/h2>\n<p>The developers aim to build on Aero a \u201cunified trading platform for the entire onchain economy\u201d. It is the industry\u2019s first design that enables capturing <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-mev-in-ethereum\">MEV<\/a> revenue at the DEX level, bypassing centralised sequencers. As Cutler noted, they are the ones who usually collect \u201cmillions of dollars\u201d from these fees.<\/p>\n<p>The Dromos team also unveiled \u201cverified pools\u201d \u2014 a technology that allows developers to integrate different <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-zero-knowledge-proof\">ZK<\/a> stacks (including verification solutions from Coinbase and World).<\/p>\n<p>Institutional investors will be able to use the DEX in full compliance with regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n<p>The protocol will also include a Metaswaps tool, optimised for cross-chain swaps across the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-the-ethereum-virtual-machine-evm\">EVM<\/a> ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>In October, DEX trading volume <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/dex-volumes-hit-a-record-613-3bn-in-october\">reached<\/a> a record $613bn.
