The rest came from gaming, visualisation and automotive.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/img-4260b13de3711a22-10020948473346580.webp\" alt=\"image\" class=\"wp-image-270090\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Nvidia\u2019s quarterly revenue growth. Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/11\/19\/nvidia-nvda-earnings-report-q3-2026.html\">CNBC<\/a>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The firm\u2019s CFO, Colette Kress, said projects to build AI factories will require roughly 5m graphics processors in total.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThis demand spans all markets, sovereign states, modern enterprises and supercomputing centres,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Blackwell Ultra <span data-descr=\"graphics processing unit\" class=\"old_tooltip\">GPU<\/span> unveiled in March is in especially high demand. Previous generations are also sought after. CEO Jensen Huang said sales \u201cexceed all expectations\u201d.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cDemand for compute continues to grow in training and <span data-descr=\"the process of handling an artificial intelligence request after training\" class=\"old_tooltip\">inference<\/span> \u2014 each is increasing exponentially. We have entered a <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ai-enters-a-virtuous-cycle-says-nvidia-ceo\">spiral of success<\/a>. The ecosystem is expanding rapidly \u2014 more and more new foundation-model developers and AI startups are appearing across industries and countries. The technology is permeating everywhere, doing everything at once,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Nvidia guided for revenue to rise further, to $65bn in the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Market reaction<\/h2>\n<p>In recent months the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bubble-or-not-how-energy-costs-are-working-against-ai-firms\">narrative has strengthened<\/a> that an AI bubble is forming. Before the report was released, shares of AI-linked firms had fallen sharply:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>CoreWeave -44%;<\/li>\n<li>Oracle -14%;<\/li>\n<li>Palantir -17%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Investors feared that weak results from the American chipmaker would point to a potential bubble burst and trigger further declines.<\/p>\n<p>A strong print from a company with a market value above $4.5trn and around an 8% weight in the S&#038;P 500 lifted Nvidia and other technology stocks.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/img-a0edc09901642924-10021033164143782.webp\" alt=\"image\" class=\"wp-image-270091\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Nvidia shares rose 6% in after-hours trading. IREN, Bitfarms, TeraWulf and CleanSpark followed. As a result, many miners have pivoted to servicing AI infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>In September 2024, analysts at Bernstein <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ai-focused-bitcoin-miners-outperform-traditional-rivals\">noted<\/a> that shares of bitcoin miners that are simultaneously building AI businesses are outperforming those focused solely on crypto mining.<\/p>\n<p>Asian semiconductor stocks also rose after Nvidia\u2019s report. South Korea\u2019s SK Hynix added 2%; the company is one of the US chipmaker\u2019s key suppliers of high-speed memory.<\/p>\n<p>Samsung climbed by more than 5%, and TSMC by 4%.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Not a bubble<\/h2>\n<p>Nvidia\u2019s CEO offered three reasons why the AI industry is not a bubble ready to burst.<\/p>\n<p>First, areas such as data processing, ad recommendations and search are shifting to GPUs because they need artificial intelligence. That means traditional CPU-based infrastructure will gradually migrate to Nvidia\u2019s products.<\/p>\n<p>Second, AI technologies are not only embedded into existing applications but also enable the creation of new products.<\/p>\n<p>Third, the development of agentic artificial intelligence capable of reasoning and planning will increase demand for computing resources.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThere is a lot of talk about an AI bubble. We see something quite different,\u201d Huang concluded.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In October he <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/nvidia-unveils-a-system-to-link-quantum-computers-to-its-ai-chips\">said<\/a> that Nvidia has orders for Blackwell and Rubin chips worth $500bn. Deliveries are scheduled five quarters ahead.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Partnership with Musk<\/h2>\n<p>Huang and Elon Musk <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/11\/19\/musks-xai-will-be-customer-for-nvidia-data-center-in-saudi-arabia.html\">took part<\/a> in a US\u2013Saudi investment forum in Washington, DC. At the event they said that the AI startup xAI will be the first customer of a new large data centre in Saudi Arabia now under construction. The facility will be equipped with hundreds of thousands of Nvidia chips.<\/p>\n<p>The partnership between the American chipmaker and Humain <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/a-trillion-dollar-deal-a-new-us-saudi-ai-alliance\">emerged<\/a> in May. Under the agreement, the sides plan to create a network of data centres with total capacity of 500MW in Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n<p>Humain was founded in early 2025 and is owned by a state investment fund.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cCan you imagine that a startup with revenue of about $0bn is going to build a data center for Elon,\u201d Huang said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In November, the government of Ukraine <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ukraine-partners-with-nvidia-to-develop-sovereign-ai\">launched a joint initiative<\/a> with Nvidia to build a sovereign artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the company <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/nvidia-to-supply-ai-chips-worth-2-billion-to-kazakhstan\">signed<\/a> a $2bn memorandum of understanding with Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nvidia\u2019s third-quarter revenue hit $57bn, up 62% year on year.
