Users observed that the neural network praises the entrepreneur uncritically.<\/p>\n<p>In one example, the <span data-descr=\"large language model\" class=\"old_tooltip\">LLM<\/span> selected Musk as a <span data-descr=\"key offensive player in American football\" class=\"old_tooltip\">quarterback<\/span> in the 1998 draft. According to the LLM, Musk could defeat Mike Tyson in a boxing match, is more handsome than Brad Pitt, and funnier than Jerry Seinfeld.<\/p>\n<p>The incident gained widespread attention, prompting the entrepreneur to intervene and <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1991624623407161383\">comment<\/a> on the situation:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cToday Grok, unfortunately, under the influence of hostile prompts, said absurdly positive things about me. For the record: I am a fat idiot.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Need for AI Decentralisation<\/h2>\n<p>Such situations clearly indicate the need for decentralised artificial intelligence, experts believe.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWhen the most powerful AI systems are owned by a single company, conditions are created where algorithmic bias becomes institutionalised,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/groks-praises-elon-musk-shows-ai-needs-decentralization\">noted<\/a> Kyle Okamoto, CTO of the cloud platform Aethir.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Models begin to shape worldviews, priorities, and reactions as if they were objective facts. At this point, bias ceases to be an error and becomes the system&#8217;s operating logic, he added.<\/p>\n<p>Eliza Labs founder Shaw Walters called the situation \u201cextremely dangerous\u201d:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWhether you consider Elon a hero or a villain, it is extremely dangerous for one person to own the most influential social media company and connect it directly to a vast AI system fed by your data. And millions of people use Grok as their primary source of truth.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An Alternative Reality<\/h2>\n<p>In June, Musk <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/elon-musks-proposal-to-cleanse-ai-knowledge-base-sparks-expert-concerns\">announced<\/a> that xAI would rewrite \u201call human knowledge\u201d to train the new version of the Grok chatbot. According to the entrepreneur, there is \u201ctoo much garbage in any foundational model trained on uncurated data\u201d today.<\/p>\n<p>The billionaire faced criticism for this decision. AI specialist Gary Marcus compared the plan to a dystopia.<\/p>\n<p>Later, users <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/users-accuse-grok-of-consulting-with-musk\">noticed<\/a> that Grok relies on the entrepreneur&#8217;s posts on X.
