A solo miner with a hashrate<\/a> of just 6 TH\/s has successfully mined block #924,569 on the Bitcoin network. The reward amounted to 3.146 BTC ($264,558).<\/p>\n

CKPool administrator Con Kolivas described<\/a> the miner as “incredibly lucky.” The odds of generating a block with such computational power are approximately 1 in 1.2 million per day.<\/p>\n

According to Glassnode<\/a>, the global Bitcoin hashrate (7 DMA) is about 1.05 ZH\/s, which is 263,750 times greater than the solo miner’s equipment.<\/p>\n

Transaction fees in the block reward amounted to 0.021 BTC ($1,802), roughly 0.7% of the total. In November, the share of network fees in miners’ revenue fell to record lows<\/a> over the past 12 months, below 1%. Nearly all income comes from the block reward of 3.125 BTC.<\/p>\n

CKPool allows solo miners to participate in Bitcoin mining, aiming to receive the entire block reward if successful. The platform charges a 2% fee.<\/p>\n

The “incredibly lucky” miner’s success marks the 308th in CKPool’s history since 2014. The previous solo block was generated in September<\/a>, earning 3.13 BTC ($347,980 at the time).<\/p>\n
