It seems better to integrate their ideas into the main party rather than split the vote, which could have serious consequences, especially at such a crucial time for bitcoin. I don\u2019t get it. Though I\u2019m just an <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-cryptocurrency-etf\"><em>ETF<\/em><\/a><em> guy,\u201d he wrote. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Critics <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EthosVentures\/status\/1992757382649450601\">countered<\/a> that the Zerocash architecture powering Zcash was originally proposed as an add-on for the first cryptocurrency. Developers rejected the idea, so the project launched separately.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cThat really weakens my position. Fair point,\u201d \u2014 <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EricBalchunas\/status\/1992784560917262338\"><em>acknowledged<\/em><\/a><em> Balchunas in response. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The tussle between bitcoin maximalists and advocates of the privacy coin has <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bitcoin-maximalists-clash-with-zcash-advocates-amid-price-surge\">flared<\/a> amid ZEC\u2019s sharp rise and the hype around the asset.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past month, the token\u2019s price has almost doubled. At the peak it topped $720. The technology, he said, poses a serious threat to the cryptocurrency\u2019s encryption and privacy.<\/p>\n<p>However, the expert acknowledged that the company still believes in digital gold and \u201cwill abandon it only if it deems its fundamental concept compromised\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Van Eck also stressed that many veterans and maximalists have started paying attention to Zcash in search of greater transaction privacy.<\/p>\n<p>Many disagreed with him.
